SHUG McCRACKEN

When Glasgow City Parks' Department employee Shug McCracken (James Ramsay) gets caught red-handed stealing £6.99 to buy booze and fags, he inventively blames the crime on the parks infamous mice, claiming that they "ate the tickets" that he sells for the park tennis courts.

Terrified of taking on the Union (who rise to the defence of McCracken) the Parks Management backs down and to Shug's astonishment he finds himself reinstated. But there are darker forces at work and revenge comes in an unexpected form.

The Fall of Shug McCracken was co-funded by Raygun Films, USA and Scottish Screen and has won several international awards.
